Final Results and Recap From the 3rd Annual Foster's Cup at Cable-Island Magdeburg, Germany!

Freddy von Osten (GER), Tor Young (ENG), Bertrand Oustrieres (FRA) Felix Schneider (GER) and Jan Kerkhoven (NETH) earn titles at the Foster's Cup and 2nd stop of the 2009 WWA Europe Wake Park Series (EWPS)!

Super action on the water, the hottest club party and a great weekend with friends concluded at the 3^rd annual Foster's Cup and 2nd stop of the 2009 WWA EWPS. Despite the cloudy weather, 55 riders battled it out in 5 different categories for the coveted titles and prize money. The level of riding was high, the organization and site were top notch and the people always friendly and hospitable. An awesome vibe and all the reasons to make this a fantastic event and one of the best contests of the year.

In the JR. Men's division, Felix Schneider threw down a solid run landing him in the number 1 spot against fellow German riders Nick Lewis and Frederik Froling who finished 2^nd and 3^rd respectively. The Masters division also had a cash prize courtesy of Cartrade24 and the riders did not disappoint. The Dutch friends Jan Kerhoven and Rens Cosijn delivered a strong duel as they fought for 1^st place, but in the end it was Jan who would prevail with Rens close behind and old school German rider Harry Sedlmayr rounding out 3^rd place.

In the Pro Wakeskate division, it was French Sooruz rider Bertrand Oustrieres who despite an early fall off the Funbox, would finish out his run with a full kick flip, backside flip, front flip, and plenty of spins to win the final against German riders Andy Kolb and Moritz Thiele from Berlin. In the Pro Women's division, an uncharacteristic fall by WWA World Champion Maxine Sapulette opened the door for young British rider Tor Young to take top honors, beating out Maxine and fellow British rider Sophie Cordery in the finals. Tor also rode strong in the previous event in Ukraine paving the way for her to win the overall WWA Europe Wake Park Series Title.

The Pro Men finals were fierce as the young ripper Freddy von Osten had to fight a strong contingency of fellow German riders, along with Dutch talent Rocco van Straten in the 8 men head to head battle. The level of riding was high but Patrick Schmidt, P2, Tom Richter, Rocco and Daniel Wehman were no match for Freddy or the other young guns Felix Georgii and Nico von Lerchenfeld. The ever so stylish team from Allgau impressed the crowd with their repertoire of technical tricks and unique rail riding ability.

The 3 young stars dominated and swept the top 3 positions with a well earned victory at the 2009 Foster's Cup.

For those who have never been to Cable Island Watersports and Beach Resort in the heart of Eastern Germany, it has one of the biggest wake parks in Europe. The park includes 10 different obstacles for all ability levels including multiple kickers, a funbox with A-frame, relentless rail, flat bar, step down box and s-rail to name a few and if that's not enough to get your adrenaline pumping, it will soon be home to the world's largest floating obstacle, the Mazda Monster XXL Curved Pool box, to be featured in the Guiness Book of World Records in the Summer of 2010.
